Coastal Suite – Waterfront Harbour Retreat in the Heart of Ucluelet

Practical, but absolutely not worth the price Positive: The place is nice overall, well located in Ucluelet, and practical. The hosts are friendly, helpful and easy to reach. Arrival and departure are easy with the digital lock. Negative: It is way below what you would expect for that price range. The living room is not cosy at all and strangely organized with the kitchen, the furniture is of low quality, there is nowhere to unpack and store your things or clothes, and the cupboard is very humid which gave a bad smell to all the kitchenware. Also, the manager will ask you to fill your personal info on a website which is 0% secure, I ended up on the page of another traveler and could see her name, address, passport number and so on.

Je n’y retournerai pas. Positive: L’emplacement Negative: Trop de voyageurs dans ce bloc de trois logements et certains irrespectueux des autres. Trop minimaliste en terme d’équipements. Mauvais rapport qualité/prix.

Positive: The property was beautiful, well maintained and had all the amenities for a short stay. It was clean, had lovely local products to use (shampoo, dish soap etc) and the beds were really comfy. Only a short walk into town and a great view of bald eagles perched in the tree each morning. Also, good, clear communication. Negative: Nil

Positive: Great location and really well decorated modern space. Had everything we needed and close to the harbour and town or to walk to the lighthouse. Easy to find and to park. Nice big fridge and the sofa bed was really comfy with the extra topper provided. Good shower. Cleaning products and shower gel etc all lovely. Negative: Felt a bit overlooked by folks coming out of neighbouring properties to have a smoke and just to go in and out as they were standing right in front of our window. The blinds helped but it meant we had to close the window.

Positive: Simply wonderful
