Surfers' Nest - Waterfront home in Ucluelet

Overall the stay was great, despite some maintenance issues that occurred during the stay! The space worked well for 4 adults and 1 infant. The location was convenient and we took advantage of walking to the lighthouse from the place. Would book again when we visit Ukee!

The property was lovely. The rooms were bright and clean and overall quiet. We had easy access to great walks in the woods and by the ocean. The property managers were very responsive to queries. I would recommend for others to stay.

Apart from the dirty bbq, our stay was memorable. The beauty of Pacific Rim Park is spectacular. Positive: We are a BC senior couple, entertaining a senior friend on his first trip to Vancouver Island from Ontario. The condo was beautiful, providing more than two hotel rooms could offer. Very quiet location, close to the lighthouse trails. Comfortable modern furniture; excellent beds, well stocked kitchen with dishes, pots and pans. View from deck was beautiful: woods with deer walking past windows. We did not see a water view as ad stated. Ucluelet has so much to offer tourists. We bought fresh prawns, scallops to cook with our steak. Excellent fish/chip wagon on the Main Street. We ate lunch at their picnic tables, enjoying freshly caught Pacific cod. We have camped at Green Point many times. The beauty of the rain forest and Long Beach bring us back. Negative: I submitted my reservation online, with no refund for cancellation. A month afterwards, I was notified that the cleaning fee had gone up to $185. We brought steaks to bbq. The bbq on the deck was old, rusty and dirty. My husband had to scrub it before we could cook. A notice was left in the condo, expecting us to put all our towels through the washer and dryer the next morning. We ran all our dishes through the dishwasher. Check out time was 10 am, unlike most hotel check outs at 11 am. This gave us little time to relax after doing our chores. The emphasis seemed to be keeping the cleaning staff happy rather than the guests. Otherwise, our visit to Ucluelet and Pacific Rim Park was wonderful.
