Sea Breeze Suite - 1 Schlafzimmer in Ucluelet

THE VIEW... THE LOCATION... Positive: The management team was supportive and responsive, and they explained our concerns and questions clearly and patiently.   The instructions we received for check-in and check-out were very clear. The location and view of the suite are unique, and it has everything you need. When we arrived, we were welcomed by music and a pleasant essential oil scent, which created a very inviting atmosphere. They also provided two types of loose-leaf tea, which we really enjoyed. The decor was beautiful and well suited to the space. Negative: The property is managed by BLUE CRUSH RENTALS - found them a very helpful team after chatting with them. From the time of booking, I repeatedly received requests from this management company through different channels (text,email,...) to provide my credit card information for a damage deposit, which I found unusual. I contacted Booking.com and chose not to provide the information until the day before my stay, when I received a warning that my reservation would be canceled if I did not do so. This message arrived shortly after another message welcoming me to the property. After questioning the process, someone called me and kindly explained that they may lose contact with travelers after their stays because Booking.com shields customer information. I understood their reasoning and provided the requested information through a provided link. However, I was not comfortable with the process, particularly with submitting my information through an unfamiliar link. I suggest that the property management and Booking.com work together to resolve this issue, as the process felt unnecessarily confusing and uncomfortable. I understand that we were in a fragile ecosystem, and some of my expectations may have reflected standards from more developed destinations. However, I did expect cleaner towels and beddings (preferably with a brighter color), as some towels had hairs on them. A set of bedding was also missing when we arrived and was kindly provided the next day. So check them sooner than later. We noticed at 10 pm right before bed. We could clearly hear the upstairs neighbors each morning, including footsteps, exercise, and maybe household appliances. While understandable, it was not ideal to be woken up early while on vacation. The layout was also somewhat inconvenient, as access to the washroom requires passing through the bedroom. Despite the website photos, the property is not modern. Like many buildings in Ucluelet, it is older, though it has some tasteful renovation.

I had some difficulties using the VRBO app, but the host was most cooperative in helping me to overcome this. The unit was comfortable and well-equipped and the location had a great view of the harbour. Wild Pacific Trail was wonderful!

Positive: Location was very good. Negative: Would have been nice to have a small dining table instead of a shelf and perhaps an extra comfy chair for a 4th person. The terrace out front was directly in front of the other guests accommodation so felt a bit intimidating to sit out there so didn't use it.

Really good value for the money here, particularly since we stayed during high season. Great location, close to everything you’d want to see in Ucluelet and the unit has everything you’d need.As noted in the listing, there are other units in the property. The other guests adhered to the noise requirements but the floorboards are a bit thin so you can hear your neighbours during the day if you’re sensitive to sounds. We spent most of our time out and about exploring the fantastic nature that Ucluelet and Tofino have to offer so it only impacted us a little bit.

A good stay. Positive: It was a walk to town. It had a great fish store, Neptune fish market across the street. Negative: We were hoping to cook our meals, it had a small toaster oven, a hot plate and a mini fridge. The gas grill did not work, I contacted the property manager but it was not fixed while we were there. We could hear the upstairs tenants.
